Statement on General Conference 2021
Greetings Connectional Church,
At present, the General Conference of the African Methodist Episcopal Church is scheduled to meet July 6 – 10, 2021 in Orlando, Florida. The General Conference Commission has approved the basic framework that will govern our meeting together and work is moving forward to facilitate the meeting.
However, I want to assure the Connectional Church that the Commission continues to monitor conditions in the United States and abroad that may affect our gathering and will have in place plans to meet those contingencies. It is my hope that we will be able to share more specific information to delegates and the church at large by the end of next month. In the meantime, I will soon meet with the General Conference Commission to address our ongoing plans and objectives.
