Heart of the Village Coalition, Inc (HVCINC) Launches to Provide Holistic Support for Families
Heart of the Village Coalition, Inc. (HVCINC) announces its official launch as a designated 501(c)(3) organization by the U.S. Treasury IRS. Founded through the visionary efforts of Pastor B. A. Hart under St. James African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church and inspired by the work of a former pastor, the late Rev. Scottie Swinney, HVCINC is dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of families in our community.
At its core, HVCINC is committed to providing parents and their children access to vital services they may not be aware of but undoubtedly need. Through strategic partnerships with existing agencies and organizations, HVCINC will leverage resources and expertise to offer comprehensive support to families.
“We believe that every family deserves access to the resources and support they need to thrive,” said Pastor B. A. Hart, Founder of HVCINC. “Our mission is to serve as a bridge, connecting families with the services and assistance that can help them flourish.”
Key features of HVCINC’s approach include:
- Partnerships: HVCINC will collaborate with agencies that provide essential services, facilitate transportation for individuals, monitor progress, and offer debriefing sessions upon completion to ensure continued support.
- In-House Services: In addition to external partnerships, HVCINC will offer in-house services such as parenting classes and nutrition classes aligned with St. James AME Church’s food pantry distributions. These services aim to address families’ holistic needs and complement external support.
- Strategic Focus: HVCINC recognizes the importance of collaboration and will avoid duplicating efforts by focusing on areas where others excel. This strategic approach maximizes the impact of resources and ensures that families receive the highest quality of care.
“We are excited to embark on this journey of service to our community,” said Judith Tucker, organizer and secretary at HVCINC. “Through our collective efforts, we aim to create a supportive environment where families can thrive and flourish.”
Heart of the Village Coalition, Inc. invites community members, organizations, and stakeholders to join hands in this noble endeavor to uplift families and build a stronger, more resilient community.
Efforts are currently underway to fund HVCINC’s initiatives. They include an online donation page, a raffle of artwork, and a formal gala planned for November. Immediate needs include a 15-passenger bus.
