Develop plans, set goals, and press on toward your victory

In making resolutions, let me remind you that challenges, tests, and situations will be waiting for you to face. Perusing goals in life “don’t get easier!”

Duke University Women’s Head Basketball Coach Kara Lawson shares, “We all wait for things to get easier, but it will never get easier. We handle hard better. Meaningful pursuits in life are not easy; people who handle hard well are the ones who get what they want. People who wait for things to get easier will likely be seen at the bus stop waiting for the easy bus, which never comes.”

To accomplish your desired goals and challenges in life, you must always be determined to do so.

Merriam-Webster defines “determination” as “the act of deciding definitely and firmly.”

Friend, pursuing what you desire is very hard and meaningful work. Be of good cheer if you believe it is yours to have. Then it’s definitely worth putting the work in and going after it! (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

“Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord because you know that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.” (1 Corinthians 15:58)

So I ask you, “Are you an overcomer?”

AI Overview states that ” an overcomer is a person who has succeeded in dealing with or gaining control of a problem or difficulty despite opposition, weakness, or other challenges.”

I challenge you to continue being an overcomer!

“For as you thinketh in your heart, so are you.” (Proverbs 23:7)

A final thought: Do you have the desire to be successful at whatever you are pursuing in life? If so, work, study, meditate, and pray that you will succeed. Develop plans, set goals, and press on toward your victory!

Desire to succeed and invest the “sweat-equity” needed into your dream, vision, and effort to be successful.

Going after what you want in life is sometimes very hard work.

Be encouraged!

Whatever you give to God to handle (through you and others) should not be unattainable or unreachable in some way, shape, or form for you. Always see your challenges as only being stepping stones to claiming your victory!

“Greater is Jesus that is in you, than the enemy that is in the world.” (1 John 4:4)

The prophet Jeremiah affirms, “Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee!” (Jeremiah 32:17)

There’s nothing you can’t strive to accomplish in the Lord!

Legendary American actor and comedian Milton Berle once said, “If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door.”

I’m just saying!

Happy New Year!

You will hit a home run, get on base, or strike out on any given day. The only requirement is that you practice and come up to the plate every day and swing!
