On December 15, 2016, clergy and laity of the 18th Episcopal District gathered in Maseru, Lesotho for the dedication of Bishop’s Place—an Episcopal District project. The complex includes the Episcopal residence, eight apartments, and commercial space for rent. Currently, all apartments are occupied. The project began under the administration of Bishop John White (2011-2016), with the idea of securing a new Episcopal residence to replace the existing manse built by Bishop George Napoleon Collins in the 1960s. The project originated in 2013 when the hot water heater lodged in the ceiling burst and intensified in 2014 after the ceiling of the Episcopal residence collapsed.

Using the existing land of the residence as leverage, the 18th Episcopal District partnered with a local developer, Andre Boatman of LSP Partnership, to create the project which was completed shortly after the General Conference. Newly-assigned Bishop Stafford J.N. Wicker officiated the dedication ceremony with the President of the Council of Bishops John White participating. He commented, “God has a way of bringing everything to fruition. I believe because of our partnership and relationship, the partnership between the church community and the corporate community, we can make a big difference in the lives of people.”
