Lay Biennial Reflections

The Fifth Episcopal District Lay Organization would like to thank all who attended and supported the Connectional Lay Organization’s 36th Biennial Session, held June 27-July 4. Your attendance has been long-awaited and we worked hard to ensure that your time in one of our 15 states would be pleasurable, meaningful, uplifting, and spirit-filled. We pray that we accomplished those goals and made you feel welcomed!
On behalf of our Episcopal leadership, Bishop Clement W. Fugh and Supervisor Alexia Fugh, the Fifth Episcopal District Lay Organization congratulates President Valerie G. Bell; Director of Lay Activities Ametta Reaves; and Young Adult Representative Jemesha Williams on a successful Biennial. Heart-filled thanks are also extended to the Pacific Northwest Community, the Pacific Northwest Conference, and the Fifth Episcopal District’s clergy, laity, and friends. Thanks to Bishop Fugh for trusting in our leadership and planning to do the valued work of the Lay Organization, while representing the Fifth District exceptionally well.
The CLO’s 36th Biennial Session was dynamite. Every success measure was achieved, including productive sessions, comprehensive training, and effective strategic planning, the Lay Organization can meet the critical needs of the Church to carry out the mission and continue to build healthy relationships throughout our communities.
